This research project inquires about what we understand by production in different areas of art.
“Bird and ornithologist at once” has the goal of researching what production means in different areas of art and what are the most popular versions of it. Some of the addressed questions are: How we think about production? How do production and exhibition coexist? Which are the phases that imply (immaterial) production? How is the process defined, as documentation or individual works of art? Should the political position be inherent to the idea of production? Is it possible to talk about production without developing awareness about the means, the conditions and the context of the artistic production itself?
This project is a research process which transits through different institutions and organisations within the art world.
