This is a light and sound, generative and autopoietic installation which puts into practice complex system theories related with emergency and self-organization.

The artist says:

“ {RdEs} ” project comes from the idea of creating small cellulars automata which are able to generate very simple sounds. These automata receive and send these sounds in a basic way to reach chaotic and balanced states according to collective behaviours. The outcome is an evolving sonorous texture which is modified at the same time by the visitors. They may change some of the entry parameters such as light adjustments.

The project explores the sonorous and compositive possibilities of all these concepts, from network system of particles-modules based on concepts and processes such as emergency and self-organisation. The models come from different fields of science: philosophy, biology, computational sciences and artificial intelligence studies (cellular automata).
