Hangar's research line on locative media aims to construct a work environment for reflection, research and exchange about the new georeferenced narrative genres, visual and audio mapping, augmented reality, community participation and social networks. This research line also wants to generate critical thinking in the locative transmedia narratives field and see how the parameter of geoposition may contribute to decentralised shared information. At the same time this research framework aims to promote the use of Floss, Peer to Peer, and open systems rather than the ones used by telecom companies and in the Smart Cities strategies, whose interests are far from a real public digital space.
